Ace Frehley's Psychic Predicted He Would Live to 100 Before His Death

KISS guitarist Ace Frehley, who died this week at 74, had shared a psychic's prediction that he would live to 100 just months before his death. The musician suffered a fatal fall in his home studio, resulting in a brain bleed, and passed away surrounded by family in Morristown, New Jersey.

In a March interview with The Aquarian, Frehley recalled the psychic's words: 'I just spoke to a psychic. She goes, 'Ace, you're going to live to be a hundred.' So I said, 'No problem!'' He attributed his expected longevity to good genes, noting his father lived to 96 and his mother to 86.

Frehley, known as Spaceman, was a founding member of KISS from 1973. He left the band in 1982, rejoined for a 1996 reunion tour, and stayed until 2002. His final solo album, 10,000 Volts, was released last year.

Tributes have poured in from bandmates Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, who said in a joint statement: 'We are devastated by the passing of Ace Frehley. He was an essential and irreplaceable rock soldier... He is and will always be a part of KISS's legacy.' Simmons added in a personal post: 'No one can touch Ace's legacy.'

Drummer Peter Criss posted on X: 'I'm shocked!!! My friend… I love you!' Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello called Frehley his first guitar hero, praising his 'timeless riffs and solos' and saying his legacy 'will never be forgotten.'

Frehley had been sober for 19 years and wrote in his 2011 memoir No Regrets: 'We have only today; yesterday's gone and tomorrow is uncertain. That's why they call it the present. And sobriety really is a gift… for those who are willing to receive it.'
