Win The Traitors: Psychologists Reveal Top Tips for Celebrities

Psychologists have revealed their top tips for celebrity Faithfuls and Traitors aiming to win the BBC show The Traitors and secure thousands of pounds for their chosen charity.

How to Be a Traitor

A charm offensive really works. Dr Rachael Molitor said Celebrity Traitors winner Alan Carr’s lovable personality helped him gain trust among his fellow competitors, even when he was lying to their faces. She said: “Alan’s personality is so jovial, so friendly, that people want to be with him. He has what psychologists call 'the halo effect' which means that people automatically believe he is trustworthy and wouldn't lie”.

Don’t panic and stick to your plan. The psychologist believes that Traitors who fail are the ones who panic and try to dominate the round tables too much. She said: “You can have two different types of traitors, those that are leaders and those that are followers. Both of those actually work really well, but a good traitor will work out which one they're best suited to and then commit to it.
