Poll: Who Is More to Blame in Charles-Harry Palace Row?
Who Is More to Blame in Charles-Harry Palace Row?

Prince Harry has been told he cannot stay at Buckingham Palace during his UK visit this week, sparking a public dispute over accommodation. The Duke of Sussex made a late request to stay one night at the royal residence after initially declining the offer when he expected his wife Meghan Markle and their children, Archie and Lilibet, to join him. However, by the time he decided to travel alone, the palace said the offer had been retracted due to lack of availability and staffing.

Harry's Disappointment and Legal Battle

Harry's spokesperson called the decision "disappointing," suggesting it was linked to his legal fight against Associated Newspapers, which he lost on all counts on Tuesday. The duke arrived in London solo after Meghan and the children pulled out because of security concerns. Buckingham Palace believed the longstanding legal case complicated matters and could compromise the King's constitutional position.

King Charles's Busy Schedule

King Charles has a packed schedule of engagements this week, while Harry is undertaking five days of appearances in London and Birmingham, including marking the one-year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games. It is not yet known whether Harry will see his father during the trip. However, Meghan, Archie, and Lili could still join Harry outside London, with reports he wants to take them to the final resting place of his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, at Althorp in Northamptonshire.
