Vicky Pattison has revealed she is taking on the biggest physical challenge of her life, admitting she fears she may have bitten off more than she can chew. The former Geordie Shore star, 38, shared a video on Instagram wearing Baywatch red, posing with a bike, rowing oars, and a sign for Newcastle and London, prompting fans to guess she will be cycling and rowing between the two cities.
Challenge details teased
In the video, Pattison displayed a variety of terrified expressions but did not specify the exact nature of the challenge. Commenters speculated she would be cycling and rowing from Newcastle to London. In the caption, she wrote: "I have signed up for the biggest challenge of my life... and it is just dawning on me now that I may have bitten off more than I can chew."
She added: "This challenge is about to make the jungles, the Sahara and the arctic... look like a walk in the park.. But it's for an incredible cause and I'm going to give it everything I've got. WISH ME LUCK and Stay tuned..."
Charity cause
Although Pattison did not name the charity, the video showed her holding a microphone with the logo of Global's Make Some Noise. The organisation supports around a hundred charities across the UK, addressing issues from bereavement to poverty, with the aim of ensuring "no one faces life's toughest challenges alone". Other celebrities who have supported the cause include AJ Bell, who ran a half marathon, and Chris Moyles, who recorded a special podcast.
Celebrity support
Pattison received encouragement from fellow celebrities in the comments. Fearne McCann wrote: "Wowwwww yes go girl!!" MAFS star Ella Morgan commented: "You are a total queen, and inspiration @vickypattison I hope you know how loved you are!! You deserve all the success that comes your way girl and I love and adore you (you know that already!)" Her husband, Ercan Ramadan, simply said: "You've got this".
This announcement comes weeks after Pattison became tearful while discussing her fertility journey on the BBC's Sort Your Life Out Unpacked podcast. She revealed she never imagined reaching her current age without children, saying: "I didn't think I'd be this age without a baby or a family." She explained that she had focused on her career and never felt ready before, but now feels a sense of loss: "I've never really felt ready until now. It's wild but like something just clicks, and the minute you feel ready it's like you need a baby straight away."
