Teyana Taylor has confirmed that she was the person Leonardo DiCaprio was animatedly speaking to during a viral moment at the Golden Globes. The clip, which circulated online after Sunday's ceremony, showed DiCaprio excitedly talking to someone during a commercial break, originally thought to be his 'One Battle After Another' co-star Chase Infiniti.
Speaking to Access Hollywood on Tuesday, the 35-year-old Golden Globe winner clarified that DiCaprio was reacting to her excitement over 'KPop Demon Hunters' winning Best Animated Film. 'He's talking to me, yes,' Taylor said, admitting the night was a blur. 'I want to say we might have been talking about KPop Demon Hunters, because I was so happy when they won, because my kids love KPop Demon Hunters.'
Taylor recalled jamming to the song 'Golden' by the group and engaging DiCaprio in conversation about her children's love for the film. 'I do remember jamming so hard when 'Golden' came on, and we went into this whole spiel about how Junie and Rue love KPop Demon Hunters but I didn't know that that whole moment was being captured,' she said.
The viral clip has delighted fans, who praised it for revealing DiCaprio's 'real personality' away from his usual calm composure. The 51-year-old actor was even mocked at the ceremony by host Nikki Glaser for his privacy, but this moment offered a glimpse into his off-screen character.
DiCaprio attended the Globes with his 'One Battle After Another' co-stars, a film that led the nominations with nine nods.
