Good Morning Britain presenter Laura Tobin has received support from her co-stars, including Susanna Reid, after sharing a rare insight into her private life on Instagram. Tobin, who joined the show in 2014, took to the platform to "re-introduce" herself to her growing number of followers.
Personal revelations and career highlights
In her post, Tobin shared a series of images from her school days, university, and early career, accompanied by personal facts. She wrote: "I've had lots of new followers lately, so thought I'd do a 're introduce' myself. Thank you to followers old and new, hope you learn something new!"
She revealed that she fell in love with weather at age 14, graduated in 2003 after studying Physics and Meteorology at the University of Reading, and had one of her first jobs at RAF Brize Norton. Tobin also shared a picture with her twin brother, Mark, and mentioned her daughter, Charlotte, who was born prematurely at 27 weeks and 5 days. She added: "She is now 9 years old and turning into a mini me."
Passion for climate change and awards
Tobin concluded her post with more insights: "I'm passionate about communicating climate change. I've won awards for my weather broadcasts. For the last 2.5 years I've bought no new clothes! I love Bon Jovi and they were my chosen subject for Mastermind!"
Her followers and colleagues showed support, with Susanna Reid sharing heart emojis, Christine Lampard adding heart-eye and clapping hand emojis, and Melvin Odoom commenting "Love this." One fan wrote: "They need to give you your own show," while another said: "You are an extraordinary meteorologist and a wonderful mum."
