Katie Price is determined to have a sixth child, with or without husband Lee Andrews, according to a source. The 48-year-old former glamour model has long spoken of her desire for another baby, and her recent realisation that she wasn't always there for her older children has strengthened her resolve.
Baby Plans Amid Relationship Uncertainty
In February, Price appeared to announce she was expecting her first child with Lee, just four weeks into their marriage, posting “I'm having his child” on Instagram. She later confirmed she wasn't pregnant, saying, “No, I'm not pregnant – but one day I will be.”
A source told new magazine that the star, who was pictured without her wedding ring last week while partying in Ibiza with her son Harvey, 24, and club owner Wayne Lineker, is determined to fulfil her baby dream with or without Lee.
Fertility Struggles and Loss
“Katie is desperate to be a mum,” the source said. “It's what she thinks about when she wakes up and when she goes to bed. And because Cameron Diaz had her third baby at 53, she thinks there's a chance for her and a way forward.”
In 2022, Price revealed she and then-boyfriend Carl Woods were trying for a baby using IVF, telling Lorraine Kelly, “Obviously I'm 44 this year and I haven't got as many eggs as I wanted, so we're having to do IVF.” Her attempts failed, but the following year she vowed to “try again”, telling Michelle Visage on the Rule Breakers podcast, “I'm not giving up. I need more babies.”
Unexpectedly, Price fell pregnant with her ex-boyfriend JJ Slater at the end of 2024, after being told she only had a one per cent chance of conceiving naturally. But tests later revealed the baby “wasn't alive any more”. In February 2025, she said, “I was just really sad, because we went from joy and relief that I could get pregnant naturally to confusion, heartbreak and sadness... It's been devastating.”
Wake-Up Call From Documentary
According to the outlet, Price's urgent desire for more children has been sparked by her recent realisation that she wasn't always there for her daughter Princess, 19, and son Junior, 20, while they were growing up. Earlier this month, new magazine reported that the star was left “mortified” after seeing Princess and Junior become emotional while being interviewed on her recent Sky documentary series, Katie Price: Nothing To Hide.
In one moving segment, Junior recalled feeling “scared” after his mother came into his room in the early hours of the morning, “obviously on stuff”. “I've never seen my mum look like that,” he said. “She's there but she's not there. She wasn't being a mum.”
The source said: “Katie really feels she's got a lot to prove after the documentary. She knows at times she wasn't there for Princess and Junior and you can see both of them so upset. Katie feels she has let them down as a mother and she really wants to prove this is a new Katie and a new chapter in her life.”
Speaking about the documentary on This Morning in July, Price admitted: “As much as I thought I was being a mum, I wasn't. I was vacant. I was trying to be the perfect mum and obviously I wasn't. It kills me [that] I put them through that.” She added: “Obviously we've come through the other end and they're like, 'We've got our mum back', but what confused them is that I was such an amazing mum, had the breakdown, didn't have the mum that they needed and wanted.”
Determined to Have Another Child
Price has also expressed regret at the impact her headline-grabbing lifestyle has had on her children. Earlier this month, during an episode of her daughter's reality show The Princess Diaries, Junior said they were often “caught in the middle” of her drama. Price responded: “I know, and that's what I hate. Anything with me, the repercussions go on you guys.”
With her docuseries and Princess's show providing something of a wake-up call, the source says Price feels having another baby could give her the chance to correct past mistakes. “She's told friends there's nothing stopping her, with or without Lee,” the source said. “It's all up in the air with him and she isn't sure there is a future, but she is obsessed with the idea of being a mum again.”
The source added that Price is inspired by the Kardashians' experiences of surrogacy and would still consider going down the IVF route. “There's a chance she could do it the natural way, but she knows age is against her and has said she's going through the menopause,” they said. “Katie wants to put things right, but her family are worried this is the wrong thing for her to do. Despite everything, she's determined to have this child.”
