Strictly's Shaun Wright-Phillips set to miss Icons Week

Shaun Wright-Phillips and his dance partner Alexis Warr are the bookmakers' favourites to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing before Icons Week, according to Betway's latest odds.

The former footballer has been given odds of 9/4 for leaving the show. Dame Sarah Storey trails closely with odds of 11/4, while Melanie Walters is third with odds of 3/1.

Bottom two survivors remain at risk

Jaime Winstone, who found herself in the bottom two during Movie Week, remains vulnerable with odds of 5/1. Last weekend, Amy Dowden and her dance partner Chris Appleton were eliminated after the judging panel opted to save Jaime and Carlos Gu.

Despite having been the predicted exit last week, Shaun and Alexis could now miss Icons Week next Saturday.

Lacey Turner leads the betting

Lacey Turner is the bookmakers' frontrunner to win the Glitterball trophy, with odds of 6/4. John Nellis follows closely behind with odds of 9/2, Dani Dyer sits in third with odds of 6/1, and Delta Goodrem carries odds of 13/2 for victory.

Lewis Knowles, Betway's spokesperson, said: "Dani Dyer was our favourite before the series started, with Lacey Turner only fourth in the market at 6/1, but she's very much caught the eye of the judges as well as fans of the show in the opening weeks."

He added: "The EastEnders actress surged to the head of our betting at 5/2 after last week's opening show, but after another impressive performance on Saturday evening, she's now shortened further to 6/4 for this year's Glitterball Trophy."

Upcoming themed weeks

This Saturday brings Icons Week, while on October 31 contestants will don costumes for Halloween Week. Should the celebrities progress, they will also perform at Blackpool Tower and participate in Musicals Week ahead of the semi-final and grand finale.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturday at 6.15pm on BBC One.
