Strictly Fans Spot 'Not Happy' Star After Movie Week Scores

Strictly Come Dancing viewers believe they spotted a celebrity who was 'not happy' after the judges' response to his second routine of the series, and they also think they have identified the main issue for him and his professional dance partner.

The BBC One dance contest continued with its second week of competition on Saturday night (October 3), ahead of the first dreaded dance-off and elimination of the series on Sunday (October 4).

Movie Week twist and leaderboard shake-up

In a twist on the previous series, it was Movie Week in the famous ballroom, with all 15 couples allowed to bring a bit of movie magic to viewers earlier than ever. This followed the first live show of the season last weekend, which attracted a peak of five million viewers, the BBC said. Over the two-and-a-half-hour programme, an average of 4.8 million viewers tuned in to watch on BBC One as the latest batch of stars performed live with their professional partners for the first time.

It also marked the first live show for new presenters Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe, who took over from Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly.

Delta Goodrem was revealed to have topped the Strictly leaderboard. The Australian singer, paired with professional dancer Kai Widdrington, performed an American smooth to I'll Never Love Again from A Star Is Born, earning a score of 30 points. Combined with last week's 29, they now sit at the top with a total score of 59.

Lawrence Robb's routine and fan reaction

Former Manchester City and England footballer Shaun Wright-Phillips and his partner Alexis Warr had a turnaround, closing the show with a salsa to "You Should Be Dancing" from Saturday Night Fever. Judge Motsi Mabuse called it a "huge improvement" from a week ago, and the judges awarded them 25 out of a possible 40 points.

However, it was Lawrence Robb who Strictly fans appeared to be distracted by following his performance with pro partner Jowita Przystal. The pair performed a Viennese waltz to Le Festin from the Pixar film Ratatouille, with Jowita channelling the titular character. The routine received quite a bit of feedback from the judges, landing Lawrence and Jowita just 19 points out of a possible 40. After being combined with last week's scores, they were left in ninth place with an overall score of 39.

Fans took to social media to express their views. @huntersmoon53 said: "Judges seemed harsh on him this week comparatively, with comments/encouragement and scores. It was a really charming routine!" @ilovealexiswarr noted: "lawrence is not happy bless him #Strictly." @flickersuggs fumed: "Lawrence and jowita were ROBBED that was the best dance so far for me…a 4 is criminal #strictly." @emily_wright29 quipped: "What was that score for our boy Lawrence? Rob, get me that shovel #strictly #emmerdale #robron."

Height difference concerns

Fans also think they know why it could be a tricky partnership. @slinehan1 posted: "Lawrence and Jowita's height difference is so jarring for me. I still don't think they should've been paired together #Strictly." @birty4306 shared: "Lawrence seems a bit tall for her, looks awkward. #Strictly." @BethanyFoden added: "The Lawrence and Jowita height difference might not work in hold tbh #strictly."
