Emmerdale's Lawrence Robb has been confirmed as the 12th contestant for the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing. He will join fellow soap star Lacey Turner from EastEnders when the show returns in the autumn.
Lawrence's excitement
Upon his announcement, Lawrence said: "I don't know who’s more excited about this, me or my Mother. I can't quite believe that I am going to be getting my dancing shoes on this September on one of my favourite shows of all time! It's a dream come true, and I can't wait to bring my all to ballroom. Wish me luck, and any advice is very welcome - trust me I’ll need it!"
Emmerdale role
Lawrence is best known for playing Mackenzie 'Mack' Boyd in ITV's Emmerdale, a popular member of the Dingle family. Since joining the series six years ago, he has been at the centre of many explosive storylines, including affairs, kidnap, murder, and this year's landmark Coronation Street crossover, Corriedale.
