Stacey Solomon has left fans "cracking up" with an honest behind-the-scenes update as she and Joe Swash continue filming their BBC reality series, which is set to return this year.
Bouncy Castle Fun at Pickle Cottage
Taking to the show's Instagram, Stacey wrote: "Let's be honest... It's there for the kids, but who are we as grown adults to say no to a bouncy castle?!" The accompanying video showed the adults and children jumping around on the bouncy castle, offering a sneak peek of what to expect in the new series.
Fans rushed to the comments in fits of laughter. One viewer wrote, "Love it and seeing the adults having ago with the children is brilliant. And all the lovely memories you have got." Another added: "This has me cracking up!", while someone else commented: "Joe is biggest kid he’s never changed good on him".
Third Series Confirmed
The BBC confirmed in April that Stacey & Joe will return for a third run. According to the broadcaster, "the series, which follows the warmth, chaos and humour of family life at Pickle Cottage, follows Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash as they juggle their busiest chapter yet."
A synopsis added: "This time however, that family dynamic expands beyond the cottage gates, as Joe finally takes the leap to realise a long-held dream: opening his own fishing lake and glamping site. What begins as Joe’s personal passion quickly becomes a full family endeavour, naturally drawing in Stacey’s creativity, the kids’ energy and the wider family’s support."
Joe's Fishing Lake Dream
Joe hopes the lake can be more than just a business. Having always found fishing to be a form of therapy, he’s passionate about creating a space where young people – particularly teenagers struggling with ADHD or mental health challenges – can come and spend time by the water.
"Across three episodes we follow the highs, setbacks and humour of a family pulling together to achieve something meaningful – all leading to the grand opening of Joe’s fishing lake, where Stacey and Joe finally see if their shared dream has paid off."
In a joint statement, Stacey and Joe said: "If you watched the first series, you'll know we’ve been talking about the lakes for ages… it feels a bit surreal to finally see it coming to life. With the juggle of family life thrown in, we’re learning as we go, so we’ll be just as surprised as everyone else to see how it all unfolds!"
They added: "A huge thank you to everyone who has watched Stacey & Joe so far. We’re so grateful and can’t wait for you to see this next series."
