3rd Shotts Boys' Brigade held its 2nd Annual Display and Presentation of Awards at Dykehead Mission Hall. The event featured a lively Highland Games themed evening that showcased the boys' hard work, confidence, and development over the past year.

The evening was led by Captain Rev Phil Geary, with Stane Primary headteacher Laura Simpson attending as Guest of Honour. The programme opened with prayer, Bible readings, and the hymn Great is Thy Faithfulness, reflecting the Company's gratitude for another successful year.

The boys then took part in a Grand Entrance drill before the Highland Games were officially opened by Chieftain Sandy Hillan. The programme also included The Guid News Poem, read by Finn and Grayson, and My Forever Friend, performed using Sign Language by the Junior Section. Speaking during the evening, Rev Geary said the Company's purpose was to provide a safe place where boys can enjoy themselves, develop character, learn new skills, make lasting friendships, and hear the Good News of the Gospel.

He paid tribute to the boys for their commitment, noting that every boy had earned at least one badge during the year through participation, hard work, and effort. He also highlighted the development seen in the boys throughout the session, including growth in character, Bible knowledge, teamwork, confidence, creativity, and practical skills.

Special mention was made of highlights from the year, including the Company's visit to Rosehall and Morningside Nursing Homes, participation at the Cenotaph, and involvement with shoeboxes for children less fortunate than themselves.
