Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon has been flooded with messages as she was seen celebrating a major milestone with her husband, with a trip to the Lake District.
The actress, who is famed for playing Maria Windass - need Sutherland and Connor - in the ITV soap, which is filmed in Salford, may be used to drama when it comes to matters of the heart for her Weatherfield alter-ego. However, for Samia, from Eccles, things are much happier off-screen as she's loved-up with her husband, former Dancing on Ice star Sylvain Longchambon, and the pair have had reason to celebrate.
A Decade of Marriage
Samia was previously married to Matt Smith, a property developer, and after tying the knot at St Philip's Church in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, in 2005, the couple welcomed their daughter, Freya, in 2009. But less than two years later, Samia and her husband announced that they had mutually decided to separate after six years of marriage.
Samia later found love with professional ice skater Sylvain following her appearance on ITV's Dancing on Ice. The couple got engaged after three years and two months, and Samia revealed she was pregnant. Samia then gave birth to their first child together, son Yves, in 2015 before the couple married in 2016 at Delamere Manor in Cuddington, Cheshire.

Earlier in August, Samia paid tribute to her hubby as they marked a whole decade since they said 'I do'. Sharing pictures from their wedding day as well as pictures of the loved-up couple now, she said: "10 years of being Mr and Mrs! Happy Anniversary to us @slongchambon." She added: "A whole decade of marital bliss… it must be true love, let’s keep going! *I saved the slushy words for the card #love #marriage #family #anniversary."
Her Corrie co-stars were quick to respond, with on-screen brother Andy Whyment (Kirk Sutherland) commenting: "Ah Happy 10th Anniversary to both of you," while Jane Danson (Leanne Battersby) said: "Omg 10 years. What a weekend! Congratulations guys." Kate Ford (Tracy Barlow) replied: "Congratulations to a beautiful couple. Was a fabulous wedding." Sally Carman-Duttine (Abi Webster) added: "Ahhh, Happy Anniversary you guys!"
Romantic Getaway
Now, Samia has given a glimpse into her and Sylvain's celebrations, as the couple headed to the Lake District to enjoy some quality time together. In the pictures, which the soap star shared on Instagram, the pair could be seen heading out onto the waters on their own private boat, before enjoying a hot tub and glasses of fizz at their idyllic accommodation.
Captioning the post, Samia shared: "10 years married so obviously we wanted to mark it with a romantic getaway in the Lake District.. and of course the weather decided to celebrate with us by throwing us a downpour! Boat trip, champagne, hot tub, great food and loads of laughs.. rainy but still perfect @slongchambon #anniversary #grateful #love."
