Channel 5 has confirmed that Sam & Ade Go Birding will return for a second series, with six episodes planned. The show, which first aired earlier this year, stars Samuel West and Adrian Edmondson as they explore Britain's birdlife and countryside.
Expanded Second Series
The second series will feature six episodes, double the length of the first, which had three. The duo will visit West Wales, Yorkshire, and the Scottish Isles, building on locations from series one such as Somerset, North Norfolk, and West Cornwall. Production is currently underway, but an air date has not yet been announced.
According to a synopsis, the series will continue to blend birdwatching with personal reflection, with the pair sharing candid stories about ageing, family, and mortality. It promises to be a celebration of the British countryside and the changing seasons.

What to Expect
The series will feature a variety of birds, including swallows, curlews, red kites, ospreys, puffins, guillemots, and gannets. Adrian joked about the "hard life" of filming, mentioning "more birds, more stunning views, more chats, more trips to the pub." Samuel noted that his plan to get his friend "addicted to birding" has paid off.
