The Pussycat Dolls have kicked off their reunion tour in Denmark, but the comeback has not been the hot ticket the girlband had estimated.
At the time of announcing their reunion earlier this year, the group told fans they would be hitting the road and performing across 56 dates. However, as the tour drew near, they were forced to cancel all their American dates, except for a performance at WeHo Pride in Los Angeles.
UK tour ticket sales fall short
Their opening night at Birmingham's Utilita Arena hasn't sold out – instead, each block, including the standing floor at the city centre venue, has countless seats still available.
This is similar throughout the entire UK leg of the tour. On October 10, the Don't Cha hitmakers will perform at Manchester's Co-op Live, the biggest indoor UK arena, but only a fraction of the tickets for the 23,500-capacity venue have sold.
Instead, just two blocks have sold out completely. Several VIP Buttons Behind The Scenes Experience tickets, costing £645.60 are available, along with standard tickets priced at £106.75.
Special deals and remaining dates
The majority of Level 3 of the arena, the higher tier, has hundreds of tickets available to purchase, just over a month before the girls grace the stage.
Their final performance is slated for October 13 at London's O2 Arena, but promoters have now launched a special deal to sell more tickets. A group of four tickets can now be purchased for £150, including booking fees.
For context, the cheapest ticket on Ticketmaster for a single ticket is £78.10, for a seat in Level 4 of the arena. This offer, with the O2, is valid until the date of the show. Elsewhere, there's a huge sale across the whole tour. On Monday, Ticketmaster sent out an email, advising users of a "group ticket offer" for every show, meaning fans can get four tickets for £150, across the whole tour.
Backstage drama before the tour
There was drama surrounding the comeback tour before the ladies even hit the stage. When Kimberly, Nicole and Ashley announced they were joining forces again, the news came as a shock to their bandmates Carmit Bachar and Jessica Sutta, who found out on social media.
Original band member Carmit shared posts on social media from fans upset about the decision to exclude her. She also later revealed that when she left the band in 2008, this wasn't her decision. Meanwhile, Jessica hit out at her former bandmates, telling them to "F**k off," on social media.
