The crime drama Unforgettable, starring Poppy Montgomery, has landed on Netflix and quickly climbed into the streamer’s top 10 most-watched list. The series originally ran for four seasons on CBS, and fans are now calling for a fifth.
Plot and Premise
The show follows Detective Carrie Wells, an NYPD detective with hyperthymesia, a rare condition that allows her to visually remember every moment of her life. This photographic memory helps her solve complex crimes, but she cannot recall the details of her sister’s murder from their childhood, a personal frustration that persists throughout the series.
Viewers have praised the show, with one calling it the “best show I’ve seen in a while” and another labelling it an “overlooked gem”. A further fan said: “I totally love everything about this show ... the concept is fantastic and actually believable!” Another admitted: “I love Unforgettable. I'm actually on my third round of watching it.”
Fan Campaign for a Comeback
Despite its cancellation after four seasons, fans are still hoping for more. One viewer wrote: “Can someone please pick this show up for season five”, while another echoed: “Please think about bringing this show and the original two stars back. There has never been anything like this in a cop show and it was so intriguing.”
Another added: “Just watch one episode and you will get hooked. It is an amazing police show different from all the others…I hope that they renew this wonderful show.”
