Andrey Santos has made a significant impact at Manchester United since joining from Chelsea for £50 million this summer, with staff impressed by his leadership and maturity both on and off the pitch.
The 22-year-old Brazilian has started every pre-season friendly so far and looks set to start against Hull City on the opening day of the Premier League season. His midfield partnership in Michael Carrick's 4-2-3-1 formation appears to be with one of Youri Tielemans, Mason Mount, or Kobbie Mainoo.

United have shifted their transfer policy in recent windows, placing as much store in the kind of people they sign as their on-pitch abilities. Santos adds to the harmonious squad atmosphere that has developed since the Erik ten Hag and Ruben Amorim eras.
His constant communication on the pitch, particularly with centre-backs, is an impressive trait. So swift has his impact been that there is speculation he could be a future captain. He has captained Brazil Under-23s on six of his eight caps and led the Under-20 team at the 2023 South American Championships and World Cup, scoring eight goals in 13 games as captain.
