Lily Phillips' money shot stunt sparks debate over degrading act

OnlyFans star Lily Phillips has sparked controversy by posting videos and photos of herself with semen on her face, a sex act known as a 'money shot'. Despite having a boyfriend, Phillips continues to engage in this act, which many women find degrading. In one video, she walks around a back garden in a striped t-shirt and red underwear, with semen coating her face. She also shared a picture with her boyfriend Sammy while still sporting other men's ejaculate, her eyes visibly red and irritated.

Public backlash and concern

The posts have garnered over 80,000 likes, but comments express concern. One user wrote: 'This is so harmful. Teenage girls are growing up with increasingly degrading content being presented as normal on mainstream platforms.' Others labelled the content 'grim' and 'disgusting'. This is not the first time Phillips has showcased this act; last year, she filmed 'cum walks' on the streets, which reached nearly five million views on TikTok and four million views on PornHub. An X account dedicated to these walks has nearly 300,000 followers.

Why women dislike facials

Sex-positive ethical porn site Sssh.com, with 76% female viewership, reported that facial content was the second most hated sex act on the site. Users called it 'overly performative' and uninteresting. One woman wrote: 'Facials are one of those things I could absolutely do without.' Reddit users echoed this sentiment, with one explaining: 'If it gets anywhere near my eyes they ache and turn bloodshot for ages, plus I'm not super into the degradation aspect of it.' Another added: 'There's nothing sexy about that… it's degrading.'

Sex and relationship coach Courtney Boyer told Metro: 'For decades we've been sold a version of sex where the man's pleasure is the climax of the story, and the woman's body becomes the stage on which it is performed. It can feel like sex shifts from something being shared to something being done to them.' She noted that if the act is not rooted in mutual desire, it can leave women feeling more like an object than a participant.

Some women enjoy facials, but communication is key

Not all women dislike facials. One Reddit user said: 'As a girl, I find it really hot, but it might be because of my degrading kink.' Another added: 'As a woman who deeply enjoys them, I think it's a “marking their territory” thing that really does it for me.' However, consent and communication are crucial.

Lovehoney research shows that 23% of men learn most about sex from porn, fostering misconceptions. Boyer explained: 'When an act repeatedly appears as a symbol of dominance, ownership, or conquest, it's understandable some women associate it with humiliation rather than pleasure.' She emphasised that the most satisfying sex is not about appearances but about both people feeling equally desired, respected, and free to say yes or no.
