Good Morning Britain meteorologist Laura Tobin has left fans stunned after revealing she has bought no new clothes for the past 2.5 years. The weather presenter, who joined the ITV programme when it launched in 2014, shared the confession in an Instagram post re-introducing herself to new followers.
Re-introducing herself on social media
In the post, the 44-year-old wrote: "I've had lots of new followers lately, so thought I'd do a 're introduce' myself. Thank you to followers old and new, hope you learn something new!" Alongside comments about her education and career, Laura spoke about her family and her wardrobe, including a picture with her twin brother, Mark.
"Did you know I have a twin brother called Mark?" she said, before adding: "I have a daughter called Charlotte who was born prematurely at 27 weeks and 5 days!" Sharing a snap with her daughter, she added: "She is now 9 years old and turning into a mini me."
Climate change passion and wardrobe pledge
Laura's post concluded: "I'm passionate about communicating climate change. I've won awards for my weather broadcasts. For the last 2.5 years I've bought no new clothes! I love Bon Jovi and they were my chosen subject for Mastermind!"
Viewers were stunned to hear about her wardrobe choice, with several praising her for her commitment. One person said: "I need to know how you have done the whole not buying any clothes thing !!! Did you just have sooo many or????" Another said: "Love all the info on your journey to where you are today. I always trust your forecasts above others. You are such a ray of sunshine and a brilliant meteorologist. Well done too for not buying clothes for 2.5 years. I'm not quite there yet. Enjoy your Bon Jovi concert."

Someone else commented: "Thank you for sharing these fun facts you are an inspiration and I hope after this summer people sit up and realise climate change is real! How have you managed no new clothes for over 2 years please share and inspire, does that include everything? I know I don't need anything new but I see something pretty and next thing I know I'm at the checkout." A fourth said: "Not buying clothes for 2.5 years is amazing!"
