An immersive horror escape trail for adults will take over Kilmarnock town centre this Halloween. The event, titled Six Feet From Freedom, is scheduled for Friday, October 30, and combines real history, live performance and cryptic clues.
Trail details and experience
The trail forms part of Ayrshire360's Scareshire Halloween celebration. Participants, described as guisers, will follow a route through Kilmarnock, solve twisted puzzles and uncover forgotten stories. Along the way, they will encounter some of the town's most notorious characters, with the event warning that not everyone will be keen to help them escape.
A spokesperson for Ayrshire360 said: "Every location holds a secret. Each clue brings participants closer to piecing together the hidden word and finding their way to freedom. But will they make it out?"
Post-trail celebrations and practical information
After completing the trail, visitors can celebrate their escape with Halloween cocktails and tasty treats at the Killieween licensed bar and food court, alongside stalls from local makers. The spokesperson added: "Gather your bravest friends and prepare to discover the stories that refuse to stay buried."
The event is strictly for ages 18 and over, with tickets priced at £8. Tours last approximately 30 minutes, departing every 15 minutes from Sandbed Street, proceeding to Bank Street, College Wynd, Low Church Lane and finishing in the New Laigh Kirk Graveyard. Tours take place from 7pm to 9.30pm. For full details and booking, visit ayrshire360.com.
