Jeremy Clarkson's A-Level results were famously "a C and two Us", meaning he failed two of the three subjects he took. He has never publicly revealed what he studied at sixth form.
Schooling at Repton
Jeremy attended the privately-funded boarding school Repton until he was expelled for "drinking, smoking and generally making a nuisance of himself". He did, however, achieve nine O-Levels at a pass grade.
Speaking about his bullying ordeal at school, Jeremy said: "I suffered many terrible things. I was thrown on an hourly basis into the ice plunge pool, dragged from my bed in the middle of the night and beaten, made to lick the lavatories clean and all the usual humiliations that turn a small boy into a gibbering, sobbing, suicidal wreck... They glued my records together, snapped my compass, ate my biscuits, defecated in my tuck box and they cut my trousers in half."
Later achievements
The Clarkson's Farm star didn't go to university, but was awarded an honorary Doctor of Engineering degree from Oxford Brookes. At the degree presentation ceremony, Jeremy was pied by an environmental protester for his views on climate change.
Jeremy also has an honorary degree from Brunel University for his work in popularising engineering.
