Hollyoaks actor Jude Monk McGowan and his fiancée, actress Jessica Hern, are expecting their first baby, with the arrival due any day, according to photos shared on Instagram.

Jessica Hern shared pictures on social media showing her cradling her baby bump and snuggling with Jude, who is holding her bump. The caption read: 'Since December I've been quietly growing a tiny human and silently scribbling into my notes app.'
The couple, who got engaged three years ago, recently moved to Seoul, South Korea. Jessica revealed she has started a Substack newsletter called 'Backstage Bump' to document her experience of having a baby in the country, describing it as 'a brutally honest, hopefully witty depiction of my experience of having a baby in South Korea.'

Jude has also been sharing snaps with Jessica as the birth approaches. The news comes eight months after Jessica first discovered she was pregnant.
Acting career
Jude played ruthless gangster Liam Donovan in Hollyoaks from 2018 until his dramatic death in 2020, where his sister Grace Black (Tamara Wall) allowed him to fall to his death. His character was involved in murder, blackmail, and a hostage scene, targeting villagers including Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas), Maxine Minniver (Nikki Sanderson), James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan), and his own sister.
Speaking about his exit at the time, he said: 'My time on Hollyoaks has been incredible. I've learned so much about the crafts of acting for camera.'
Jude later guest-starred in the first series of Paramount+'s MobLand in 2025, playing Tim Ellis.
