Good Morning Britain presenters Kate Garraway and Tom Swarbrick were amazed as they met a teen who learned to play the piano after losing her fingers.
Grace Matthews, 19, had her fingers and lower legs amputated after suffering from meningitis and meningococcal septicaemia when she was four but now plays everyday and is recording a song, reports the Mirror.
Teen's piano journey
She blew everyone away when she appeared on Channel 4 show The Piano, which is hosted by Claudia Winkleman. And GMB stars Kate and Tom were equally impressed as she joined them on the sofa on the ITV show.
Grace explained that while she didn't remember much of being ill, she recalled looking forward to the music therapist visiting her in hospital.
She said: "I don't actually remember much from being ill. I remember I think it might be my 4th or 5th birthday, I remember my brother stealing my Peppa Pig cake for my birthday. Yeah, that's pretty much it, all I really remember from the hospital side.
"But I remember Dawn, my music therapist, she would come in and play the accordion to me, and I would sit there with the tambourines."
Overcoming challenges
"I don't actually remember how I felt in the moment, but I always remember really looking forward to hearing the accordion," she said.
Grace went on: "Before I was ill, my mum and dad had got me this like little, it was tiny little grand piano, like a pink one. And I'd always used to play that, like, not obviously playing any good, because I was really young."
After she was ill, a relative gave her a keyboard, and she started to learn to play.
Tom noted that Grace had left people "stunned" with her skill, while Kate added: "I mean, it's a wonderfully inspiring thing for people with all sorts of challenges and so-called disabilities."
Determination praised
Grace revealed she'd had moments of doubt but that she was "stubborn" and was "determined".
Tom said: "That mindset of being able to do that is so critical in so many ways in life, generally, but particularly when you're recovering from a very, very serious illness. And your life has changed quite a lot as a result of that illness.
"To be able to think your way to overcome that is extraordinary. I mean, that is absolutely amazing."
Good Morning Britain airs from 6am on ITV.
