The fate of George Walter in My Life with the Walter Boys has been revealed in the season three premiere, confirming that the beloved father does not die.
George's Health Crisis
At the end of season two, George (played by Marc Blucas) was found collapsed in the ranch's top field by his son Will (Johnny Link), who alerted the family. The cliffhanger left fans in suspense as ambulances arrived at the Walter residence.
Season three opens with George being rushed to hospital, where a doctor informs the family that he suffered a suspected stroke. A montage shows the family coping with the aftermath, with George lying unconscious in a hospital bed while his wife Katherine (Sarah Rafferty) stays by his side.
Survival and Family Dynamics
Fortunately, George survives and is later seen sitting up in hospital, with his son Cole (Noah LaLonde) helping him drink water.
The season also picks up with the emotional fallout from Jackie (Nikki Rodriguez) and Cole's confession of love, which was overheard by Alex (Ashby Gentry). Showrunner Melanie Halsall explained: "Jackie is desperately trying to bring the family together. There's a part of her that feels like she's responsible for what happened to George because she feels that she just messed everything up in those last few moments of season two."
Season Themes
Halsall teased that the new season starts with an "emotional" first episode and that "a lot of this season, more than other seasons, is about growing up, maturing, and stepping up."
Alex Walter star Ashby Gentry also commented: "Everyone's reality has shattered a little bit, and they're picking up the pieces of that and trying to put it back together again."
