Tyson Fury sent a bold message to Donald Trump during his surprise appearance at the historic UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House on Sunday night. The boxing champion attended the event wearing a cap that read 'Donald Trump for Prime Minister' alongside an embroidered British flag.
Historic UFC Event at the White House
The UFC Freedom 250 celebrated America's 250th independence anniversary. President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, and UFC boss Dana White were among the attendees. Trump and White strolled from the Oval Office to the White House balcony overlooking the purpose-built octagon structure, dubbed 'The Claw', on the South Lawn.
The national anthem played as fighter jets roared overhead, prompting chants of 'USA, USA' from the 4,000-strong crowd. Seven bouts were scheduled inside the iconic cage.
Tyson Fury's Entrance
Fury made his entrance after the second fight, walking out to Kings of Leon's 'Sex on Fire' in a matching blazer and pants featuring his 'Gypsy King' logo in gold. His cap, however, stole the spotlight with its bold political message.
Fury's appearance came one day after he watched his brother Tommy defeat strongman Eddie Hall. Fury also told the crowd he would like to fight Anthony Joshua in the future, reigniting the long-standing saga between the two boxers.
Notable Attendees
Other Trump supporters at the event included billionaire Mark Zuckerberg, NHL stars Matthew and Brady Tkachuk, and several UFC champions.
