Fiz Dobbs (Jennie McAlpine) has discovered a chilling clue about Cassie Plummer's (Claire Sweeney) disappearance in Coronation Street, putting her in potential danger. In Wednesday's episode, Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan) found a family photo in Ross Wilkes's (Ian Burfield) wallet – a picture Fiz had given to Cassie shortly before she vanished.
Ross's Suspicious Behavior
Ross, Tyrone Dobbs's (Alan Halsall) biological father, arrived in Weatherfield a couple of weeks ago claiming he wanted to start a new life and get to know his son. Cassie, however, was convinced his charm was an act, especially after revealing that Ross had paid someone to rape her when she was 15, leading to Tyrone's birth. Despite this, Tyrone gave Ross another chance after he expressed regret.
Cassie's attempts to expose Ross failed, leaving her isolated and planning to leave Weatherfield for a cruise ship job. Ross offered to drive her to the station, but during an argument, he locked the car doors and terrified her. She has not been seen since.
Fiz's Growing Suspicion
While Tyrone remains oblivious, Fiz recognized the photo immediately and questioned why Ross had it. Ross claimed Cassie threw it at him before leaving, but Fiz was unconvinced. She also noted that Cassie had not replied to her messages, knowing Cassie loved her family and would not give up trying to reconcile.
Fiz's growing suspicion puts her in danger as she gets closer to the truth about what happened to Cassie.
