Josie Gibson has spoken about her return to the This Morning sofa, with fans quickly showing their support and calling for her to reunite with co-host Paddy McGuinness.
The show has been rotating its presenting line-up over the summer while regular hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard take a break. ITV confirmed that viewers would see a series of familiar faces, including Josie, Rylan Clark, Paddy McGuinness, Andi Peters and Rochelle Humes.
Fans demand permanent duo
The first pairing to host together were Paddy and Josie, and their stint was well received. Social media users praised them as the "best presenters" and "brilliant all week," with some asking for their partnership to be made permanent. One viewer wrote: "Please make it permanent. You two have been the BEST duo on here."
The pair stepped in for Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, before Andi Peters and Rochelle Humes took over this week.
Josie thanks Paddy
After their final show together on Friday (August 7), Josie shared a picture with Paddy and Ricky Gervais on social media. She thanked Paddy for being a "dream co-host" and said it was a privilege to share the iconic blue sofa with him all week.
She also thanked the guests who appeared on the programme, particularly those who shared deeply personal experiences on live television, expressing admiration for their courage. She rounded off her message by thanking the This Morning team behind the scenes, saying she always loves returning to the show.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1.
