Award-winning DJ Sox, real name Mbusi Sokhela, has said his “heart is broken” following the death of his 10-year-old son Busa. The youngster had spent two months on life support fighting pneumonia and died on Sunday, October 11.
Father’s emotional tribute
Sharing a series of photos alongside his son on Instagram, the musical artist penned a heartfelt message. He thanked friends, family, and the doctors who treated young Busa.
“On Sunday, I lost you at the tender age of just ten years, and my heart is broken. You battled horrible pneumonia and spent two months in ICU on life support. My boy, you fought a good fight. You were so brave, and I am so proud of you,” he began.
Words of love and faith
“No parent can ever be ready for the pain of losing a child so young. I miss you more than words can explain, and it hurts knowing I won’t get to hold you again.”
“Even through this heartbreak, I trust God and His will, though I may not understand it. I believe you are resting safely in His loving arms and that you will be one of His beautiful angels.”
“May God give me strength as we lay you to rest on tomorrow, and in all the days beyond, as I learn to live with the pain of missing you,” he wrote.
Gratitude to medical staff
He continued: “To all the doctors who did their best to save Busa’s life, and the nurses who cared for him throughout these two months, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We deeply appreciate your dedication, compassion and every effort you made to save our boy.”
“I love you, my boy. I’m going to miss you every day, and I will carry you in my heart for the rest of my life. Rest peacefully, my precious son. I love you, Busa,” he ended the message.
