Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell has offered her dance partner Will Best baby hand-me-downs from her own son, Bowden, shortly after Best welcomed his first child.
On Sunday, the 41-year-old presenter revealed in an Instagram post that he and fiancée Tobi Rose had welcomed their baby boy, Sonny. In a carousel of images and videos, Best was seen cradling the newborn, writing: “Well, who do we have here then?!”
Kind words before Sonny's arrival
Speaking to The Standard days before Sonny's birth, Buswell, who recently had her and Joe Sugg's baby boy, shared her excitement for her partner. “I feel like I'm just so excited for him. Because it wasn't that long ago that I was sort of living the sort of the same thing.”
Best laughed as he said Buswell would give him hand-me-downs from Bowden, born in March this year. Buswell agreed she needed to pass on the clothes, and Best clarified: “Yes, but we do have others. It's not weird, you know. We're not relying solely on you. If he arrives and you haven't. ‘Sorry, mate, I know you're cold, but Diane, my dance partner, take it up with her’.”
Birth hours after live show
Best confirmed in a BBC interview that Sonny arrived on Sunday, October 11 morning, just hours after the Strictly Come Dancing live show concluded.
Earlier this year, Buswell and Sugg announced their own news by sharing a picture of the newborn wrapped in a blanket, with the words: “Never felt a love like it”. The couple met on the BBC dancing show when paired during the 16th series in 2018, and revealed they were expecting in an Instagram post last September.
