Delta Goodrem has confirmed she has not yet been partnered with a dancing professional ahead of the Strictly Come Dancing launch. The singer-songwriter, 41, is widely regarded as one of Australia's most celebrated and enduring talents, with a remarkable career spanning singing, songwriting, acting, philanthropy, and entrepreneurship.
However, Delta is now stepping out of her comfort zone as she prepares to take part in the latest series of Strictly. Joining the music star is EastEnders legend Lacey Turner, Dani Dyer, Chris Appleton, Cach Mercer, Will Best, Dame Sarah Story, Jaime Winstone, Bethany Antonia, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Graeme 'The Dogfather' Hall, and Emmerdale's Lawrence Robb, with more names yet to be announced for the show.
Delta's Strictly Hopes
On the latest episode of Sunday Brunch (August 9), Delta was joined by fellow guests JB Gill, Tracy Ann Oberman, Nick Helm, and Holly Humberstone, and presenters Tim Lovejoy and chef Simon Rimmer wasted no time talking about Strictly, reports the Mirror.
When quizzed on her chances of lifting the Glitterball Trophy, Delta responded: "Oh look, I am going to go in and give my very best that I possibly can. I have no expectations or awareness of what level of dancing."
Partner Reveal Timeline
However, Delta has not yet been partnered with a professional on Strictly, despite the competition kicking off in a matter of weeks, and confirmed that the matching process is scheduled for the coming days.
The professional dancers confirmed to be returning to the ballroom include Dianne Buswell, Julian Caillon, Amy Dowden, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Jowita Przystał, Johannes Radebe, Aljaž Škorjanec, Alexis Warr, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, and Vito Coppola.
Five brand-new professional dancers will also make their Strictly debuts, including Aleksandra Isaeva, Cristian Priori, Lethabo Monametsi, Maddie Ingoldsby, and Mark Karmalita.
Tim enquired, "When did you find out who your dancer is?", she responded, "No, I think in a couple of weeks, so it's still like a week or so away when we start the process. I'm excited, nervous, all those kinds of things."
