Corrie star Samia Longchambon shares microneedling treatment

Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon has shared her latest cosmetic treatment with fans, heading for a microneedling appointment on her day off. The actress, who plays Maria Windass in the ITV soap, said she hadn't "had any done for ages" and had "missed it", so decided to take her followers along for the experience.

Fans react to treatment

Captioning a video of the procedure, Samia, who is 44, wrote: "Come with me for a bit of #microneedling.. if you’re curious about trying it here’s the whole process! It’s a great non-invasive treatment if you’re wanting to stimulate your natural collagen and help with firmness (esp if you’re like me and in your 40s [winking and crying laughing face emojis])."

She added: "I can’t wear makeup for a couple of days but other than that there’s no downtime! Any questions head to @oneaestheticstudio @drjonquillechantrey #gifted."

Fans were quick to comment, with @lisau16 saying "You look amazing," @iamsarahannett commenting "Looks fabulous," and @real_rusty16 replying "It looks kind of evil, but it clearly works!!!" @bibiejewellery joked "Wow. So that is why you look 15!!!" and @hlp10399 added "Looking gorgeous."

25 years on the cobbles

Samia, from Eccles, first arrived in Weatherfield as Maria in 2000, having beaten Girls Aloud's Kimberley Walsh and Hear'Say star Suzanne Shaw to land the role. She has since been involved in some of the show's biggest storylines, and last year celebrated 25 years on the famous cobbles.

At the time, she shared a picture from when she joined Corrie alongside a more recent photo of herself outside Audrey Roberts' salon, writing on Instagram: "25 years today since ‘Maria’ first stepped onto the cobbles @coronationstreet." She added: "Feeling nostalgic going through old photos.. this is my first cast card from 2000 and then my latest one! Thanks to my Corrie family for having me be a small part of our very special show. Always grateful for the memories, and looking forward to making more! #coronationstreet #25."

Away from the show, Samia often keeps fans updated on her personal life on social media, including how she spends her days off, trips with her family and how she looks after herself, both physically and mentally.
