Como have renewed Roberta Picchi's contract after confirming that their women's player has been diagnosed with breast cancer. The Serie A side have extended her contract until the end of the 2027/28 season as part of their continued commitment to Picchi.
Treatment and Support
The 34-year-old will now begin treatment, which Como's medical team will support throughout by working closely with the specialists responsible for her care. Picchi and her family will also receive all the support they need over the coming months.
Her diagnosis comes three weeks before Como's season starts. They won the Serie B title last season to earn promotion.
