Big Stacks has promised to quit social media and enter the 9-5 life should he suffer a defeat to Jordan McCann on Saturday night. The 'UK's Hardest Man' will settle his feud with McCann in a Misfits clash in Newcastle this weekend.
Rivalry stems from June brawl
Their rivalry dates back to a physical altercation in June, when McCann punched Stacks at an open workout event before a Misfits show. Security intervened, but the brawl left Stacks with a busted lip. The incident led to Stacks taking part in a 'bodyshots only' bout against Armz Korleone, which he lost.
After weeks of verbal exchanges, Misfits officials scheduled the pair to fight. At a pre-fight press conference on Thursday evening, both fighters clashed again.
Fight promise
Big Stacks, real name Charlie Robert, said: "What am I going to do on Saturday? First round knockout. 100 per cent. I cannot lose this fight. It is impossible. If I lose, I'm quitting social media. I am saying it. Social media is done if I lose."
He added: "That is how confident I am. I will get a 9-5 if I lose. I'll be a labourer. That's all I have got - I have got no qualifications. There is no chance I will lose this fight."
McCann responded: "This is Newcastle. The same as in Manchester... I love people from the South, but we are Northern, we are built different. Win or lose, I am going to win up there."
Pre-fight brawl
There were concerns the fight might not go ahead after Big Stacks was involved in a pre-fight brawl earlier this week. The 33-year-old clashed with a group of individuals, leaving him with a busted lip. He took to social media, saying: "It's all kicked off again today."
He continued: "F*** it. At least we ain't injured. At least we can still fight. We got some dead cheap shot by these f****** nerds. They tried to cheap shot me. Soft as f***. All those lot are f***** because they tried to get to me. It is what it is. The night is still on. The fight is still on. They did not injure me. They tried. They tried throwing a chair at me. You cannot rock me. I'm here still fighting."
The fight is included with a DAZN subscription, with the event taking place in Newcastle this weekend.
