BBC Sport correspondent Betty Glover was forced to interrupt her live World Cup coverage from Los Angeles after a couple began kissing behind her following Scotland's 1-0 win over Haiti.

Betty Glover was compelled to halt her own broadcast following an uncomfortable moment unfolding in the background. The BBC Sport correspondent had been delivering live World Cup coverage from the streets of Los Angeles over the weekend. She was set to present a segment to camera following Scotland's 1-0 victory over Haiti, but was forced to stop her piece after spotting a couple engaged in an intimate embrace behind her.
Social Media Revelation
Broadcaster Betty confessed she "couldn't hold it together" upon noticing the pair kissing passionately in shot. She shared a video clip on social media, revealing her shock when she became aware of what was happening directly in her eyeline. While Betty tried to maintain her focus on the camera ahead rather than the scene unfolding behind, the frame was adjusted to remove the couple from view.
Betty posted on Instagram: "Don't mind me guys... Just trying to do a piece to camera when a couple started necking it on behind me. @georgecoops behind the camera couldn't stop laughing and in the end I couldn't hold it together."
Footage Goes Viral
Prior to descending into giggles, Betty had stated in the footage: "Hello and welcome to LA and your morning cup day after Scotland just enjoyed one of their best footballing moments in history winning their first world cup game." She was subsequently obliged to cut the segment short after bursting into laughter.
"Cant believe you actually started talking," one follower responded to Betty's video. Journalist Christian Hewgill also remarked: "This is the greatest thing I've ever seen." Someone else commented: "please show this on air!" while another wrote: "Fair play for trying to keep going! A true pro."
Previous BBC Apology
This follows just hours after the BBC had to apologise following an American supporter using profanity during a live broadcast. Throughout an interview, one supporter branded Fifa officials as "greedy f***s" while speaking from a bar in Washington. The journalist had to offer a startled apology, acknowledging "apologies for the language there", as the conversation continued, labelling Fifa officials as "clowns". "That casts a bit of a shadow on this but as a soccer fan it's always awesome to have a World Cup at home," he finished.
