Alison Hammond reveals reason she'd kick out boyfriend, 29

Alison Hammond has revealed the one betrayal that would prompt her to kick her boyfriend out of the house: stream-cheating. The Great British Bake Off host, 51, lives with her 6ft 10in model boyfriend David Putnam, 29, outside Birmingham, and says she would end things if he watched their shared shows without her.

Strict rules on watching together

In a new interview alongside Bake Off co-stars Nigella Lawson and Paul Hollywood, Hammond was asked about stream-cheating, which is secretly watching ahead on a show you and your partner are watching together. Both Lawson and Hollywood firmly declared 'you don't do that', and Hammond took it further.

'If my partner did that, he's gone. He's out, you're out of there. If we are watching Love Island, we need to watch it together at the same time. It's not fair,' she said.

Rare public comments on relationship

It is rare for the This Morning host to discuss her relationship publicly, but she has been more open recently. 'I've always had issues with my boyfriends, this one I don't,' she told the Daily Mail. 'We get on really well. We love each other. I never have to worry and second-guess how he feels about me. He's wonderful.'

She added: 'When you say he's 29, I can't believe it. It's like he's 55.' She teased that they are 'kissing a lot' and that he has 'healing hands' from his masseur background.

No wedding plans yet

Hammond made clear that 'some man owning' her is 'not gonna happen' when asked about potential wedding bells, though she didn't rule out an engagement. She also told The Mirror: 'It was so random how we met – but it was meant to be! I absolutely adore him, he is lovely… We are obsessed with each other. He loves me. If you met him, he has such a calming nature which is what I need. He is not like me in any way. It's grounding.'
