A TV expert has highlighted six under-rated shows available on Amazon Prime and BBC iPlayer, all of which are just one season long and perfect for a weekend binge.

The Spanish-language X account @Fansdepantallas, which regularly recommends under-appreciated shows, recently listed six programmes it said "almost no one talks about". Each has between five and eight episodes, making them easy to watch in a day or two.

The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart (2023, 7 episodes, Amazon Prime) is an Australian drama about an orphaned girl taken in by her estranged grandmother, played by Sigourney Weaver, who runs a plant nursery doubling as a shelter for domestic abuse victims. The account described it as "A visually stunning Australian drama about a young woman who tries to rebuild her life after a family tragedy", adding: "Emotional, tough, and with a great performance by Sigourney Weaver." The Narrow Road to the Deep North (2025, 5 episodes, BBC iPlayer in the UK) is an Australian miniseries starring Jacob Elordi, following a man's life through World War Two as a prisoner of war and beyond. @Fansdepantallas said: "A love story, war, and survival tale based on the award-winning novel by Richard Flanagan. I Know What You Did Last Summer (2021, 8 episodes, Amazon Prime) is a reinterpretation of the 1973 novel about friends stalked by a killer after covering up a fatal car crash. @Fansdepantallas said: "A reinterpretation of the horror classic turned into a series. The Horror of Dolores Roach (2023, 8 episodes, Amazon Prime) is a black horror comedy starring Justina Machado and Alejandro Hernandez, about an ex-convict struggling after prison release.
