EastEnders star Perry Fenwick, best known for playing Billy Mitchell on the BBC soap, has a famous relative that fans may not know about. The actor, who has been a staple on the show since 1998, is second cousins with actress and singer Georgina Hagen.
Perry Fenwick's Family Connection
Perry Fenwick joined EastEnders in 1998 as Billy Mitchell, the cousin of hardman Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden). He quickly became a fan favorite, involved in major storylines such as his romance with Honey (Emma Barton) and the tragic loss of his daughter Lola (Danielle Harold). Recently, his character has been dealing with Bea (Ronni Ancona), who has developed an obsession with Honey.
However, away from the soap, Perry's family includes another star. Georgina Hagen is best known for her roles as Rebecca Chalmers in the CBBC series The Story of Tracy Beaker (2005) and as Lauren Waters in the ITV musical series Britannia High (2008). She has also performed in West End musicals.
Perry's Previous Marriage
Perry Fenwick was previously married to Coronation Street actress Angela Lonsdale. He proposed using pebbles on a beach, and they married in 2005. The couple had three children: Lucy, Isabella, and Jayden. They announced their separation in 2010, with a representative stating: "Perry Fenwick and Angela Lonsdale have sadly separated after five years of marriage. They will not be making any further comment." A source close to the couple revealed: "They just ran out of love. They had a series of heart-to-hearts and decided to call it a day. No one else is involved. They are determined to stay friends."
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One.
