BBC Bargain Hunt presenter Natasha Raskin Sharp has been a familiar face on television since 2014, appearing on programmes including Flog It!, Antiques Road Trip, and Celebrity Antiques Road Trip. Based in Glasgow with her husband and daughter, she maintains a discreet approach to her personal life.
Early Life and Career
Born in Glasgow in 1986, Natasha initially studied law at the University of Leeds but soon realised it was not the right path. She switched to history of art at the University of Glasgow, later completing a placement with the Alice Temperley fashion house in London.
In 2008, she contributed to Barack Obama's primary campaign in New Hampshire. She recalled meeting Obama in an interview with the Sunday Post: 'I was only there for three months, and he came to Portsmouth, New Hampshire, when I happened to be there. I was so lucky... He was asked to sign a letterheaded paper when he was there, and it happened to come through the printer with a very generic reference for me.'
Famous Father and Artistic Heritage
Creativity runs in the family: Natasha's father is artist Philip Raskin, a renowned figure in the contemporary Scottish art scene who specialises in landscape art. His works have been sold worldwide, according to the Liverpool Echo.
After her stint in the US, Natasha joined McTear's auction house in Glasgow, where she specialised in contemporary Scottish art. Today, she balances her television career with a weekly radio show on BBC Radio Scotland every Thursday from 10pm.
Marriage and Motherhood
Natasha met her husband, producer Joe Sharp, in 2013 while filming Celebrity Antiques Road Trip. They married in 2016 and welcomed their first child, daughter Jean, in 2024. The family of three lives in Glasgow.
Natasha regularly updates her 39,000 Instagram followers with glimpses into family life. Over Christmas, she shared a photo of herself reading a bedtime story to Jean, captioning it: 'Been having such a lovely time with Jean et al that I forgot to say...hope everyone's been having a merry old time!'

She also shared behind-the-scenes snaps from Antiques Road Trip with co-star Philip Serrell, noting: 'Hope you've been enjoying my @antiqueroadtrip with Phil - Jean was with us the whole time!' Fans praised the duo, with one commenting: 'Two of the loveliest experts you could ever meet.'
