Marks & Spencer has launched a 26-piece collaboration with cult streetwear label Aries across both womenswear and menswear.
Collection Highlights and Pricing
Prices start at £10, with one of the most hotly anticipated items being the pale pink t-shirt, £25, and cream version, £25, both of which blend two signature logos into one with the St Michael entombed in Aries' Temple logo. The iconic St Michael label is reimagined across t-shirts, hoodies and an apple green leather shopper.
Timeless pieces such as pinstripe trousers, £50, are given an Aries update with drawstring detailing, while a classic grey crew neck cashmere cardigan, £95, features Aries' temple column design in a subtle relief style. Alongside graphic prints such as sweatshirts featuring the Aries iconic angel motif, £50, the collection also includes shoulder tie silk dresses in black and pink, £120.
Designer Perspectives
Maddy Evans, design director at M&S, said: "Whilst Aries and M&S come from different corners of the fashion world, both brands have built strong identities through distinctive design codes and a loyal following. Bringing those worlds together created an opportunity to offer something familiar yet entirely fresh, translating Aries' iconic creative handwriting through the lens of St Michael and making it accessible to a broader audience at a high-street price point."
Sofia Prantera, founder and creative director of Aries, said: "Growing up, M&S was part of family life. Every summer we would visit from Italy, and it was where I bought my lambswool jumpers. Working with the archive brought back a lot of those memories. Some of my favourite pieces in the collection come from personal references. Spencer Bear was gifted to me by my grandmother when I was a child, so it was fun to reintroduce him in an unexpected way. The collaboration gave us an opportunity to revisit things that felt genuinely familiar and look at them through a different lens."
Accessories and Final Items
When it comes to accessories, a standout buy is the green leather tote bag, £90, which nods to retro plastic shopping bag designs but with an added shoulder strap that loops between the short handles for comfort. Spencer Bear returns to shelves in the form of a bag charm, £35.
