Meghan Markle has had a unique and varied career in television. After heading to Hollywood, the budding actress landed her breakthrough role as Rachel Zane in Suits in 2011. Entering her corporate fashion era, the future wife of Prince Harry appeared on the legal drama for seven seasons, while scoring other gigs.
Following her retirement from acting in 2017, however, Meghan's TV career has massively evolved. Instead of booking recurring roles with major networks, the Duchess' on-screen appearances are now reserved for tell-all interviews, Netflix docu-dramas and her lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan.
When it comes to the mum-of-two's on-screen wardrobe, Meghan has received mixed reviews across the board. Here, we take a look at the outfits that sparked huge reactions, both good and bad.
Impeccable Tailoring in Suits
Meghan's wardrobe in Suits clearly rubbed off on her in real life. From silk blouses to column skirts and fitted bodycon dresses, the As Ever founder continues to focus on tailored and timeless pieces in quality fabrics and muted tones. Pictured on the set of Suits, Meghan looked incredibly chic as she posed in a purple satin blouse and a black pencil skirt.
Corporate Chic
In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, Suits' costume designer, Jolie Andreatta, revealed just how much Meghan adored Rachel's ensembles. "Meghan and I loved Rachel's clothes. We'd always say that, if we could, we would live in Rachel's clothes. Designing Rachel's look was like being a kid in a candy store," she recalled. Another of Meghan's best looks on the show included this ivory lace blouse and tan leather midi skirt.
Having Fun with Florals
During season two of With Love, Meghan, the former actress wowed in a lily of the valley summer dress from one of her go-to designers, Carolina Herrera. A fun and feminine find, the Duchess' stunning fit-and-flare went down a treat with viewers.
Less Is More
Meghan has always subscribed to a minimalist approach to fashion, and with that in mind, she's curated an enviable collection of versatile and premium basics. A foundational piece in the TV star's wardrobe, Meghan owns several button-up shirts, including this classic sky blue version that she wore in season one of her Netflix show. Sometimes, less really is more.
Tonal Vibes
Meghan nailed effortless sophistication on her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan. Donning a beige jumper layered with another striped knit, the Duchess nodded to collegiate chic with a tonal twist.
