Emma Watson dances at Olivia Rodrigo's festival, fan spots her

An A-list celebrity was seen dancing and enjoying the recent Daisy Chain Fields Festival, leaving one attendee starstruck after spotting her in the middle of the crowd. The woman in question was Emma Watson, best known for her role as Hermione in the Harry Potter films.

Daisy Chain Fields is a charitable American music festival held at the Great Park in Irvine, California. Inspired by women-led music festival Lilith Fair, it was founded by American singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo and took place on August 29. Olivia has said she hopes it will become an annual event.

Fan spots Emma Watson in the crowd

The festival saw female-led bands and artists, such as Doechii, Chappell Roan, and Olivia Rodrigo herself, take to the stage, with special appearances from Stevie Nicks and Sarah McLachlan. But the stars weren't just on the stage at the one-day festival, as one attendee was baffled to see an A-list actress dancing in the crowd.

"They were so cute & having so much fun, until..." the overlay text of the video read as the video was seen having been taken from the crowd of the Chappell Roan set. While the person filming was standing in the back of the crowd, she caught two women jumping around and dancing to the music in front of her.

One was wearing a white t-shirt with a white hat and blue denim shorts, while the woman next to her had her brown hair down, wearing an oversized white t-shirt and a black mini skirt. Seemingly enjoying themselves, the two friends were seen jumping around in sync to the music while dancing along to Chappell Roan singing hit HOT TO GO!

Identity confirmed

But as the music came to a brief halt before a repeat of the catchy chorus, the woman to the right, wearing the oversized shirt, turned slightly to show her face, and there was no doubt who she was - Emma Watson. "I saw it was the queen herself, HERMIONE!!!" the text added, as the festival-goer was clearly starstruck by the celeb.

Emma and her friend then continued to dance along to the hit song, with the celeb even doing some of the movements of a dance associated with the song. While some people weren't convinced it actually was Emma dancing in the crowd, the actress was later seen posing for a photo with Olivia Rodrigo, as well as with Stevie Nicks and Sarah McLachlan, wearing the same outfit as she wore while watching Chappell Roan, confirming that it was her.

Festival raises millions

The festival ended up raising more than $10 million (£7.3 million) for its 10 beneficiaries, which included girl- and women-focused non-profit organisations, all of which made an appearance on stage before each artist’s set. And, during Olivia's headlining set, she revealed that Melinda French Gates and her organization Pivotal Ventures would match the money raised, bringing the total to $20 million (£14.7 million).
