Cynthia Erivo stuns in gold at Prima Facie premiere

Cynthia Erivo stunned the crowds at the London Film Festival ahead of the premiere of her new film Prima Facie.

The Wicked star hit the red carpet in a striking gold dress, posing for photos and taking selfies with a number of fans. Erivo, 39, declined requests for interviews from the gathered press, citing “vocal rest”.

Premiere at Royal Festival Hall

The premiere took place at the Royal Festival Hall as part of the 70th BFI London Film Festival. Prima Facie sees Erivo taking on the role of Tessa Ensler, a successful defence barrister from a working-class background.

The film is adapted by Suzie Miller from her 2019 stage play, which most famously saw Jodie Comer play the starring role.

Co-stars and director on the red carpet

Erivo was joined on the red carpet by co-stars including Toheeb Jimoh, Elizabeth Dulau, Harry Treadaway, and Khalid Abdalla, as well as director Susanna White and BFI Festivals Director Kristy Matheson.
