Brooklyn Beckham hits back at 'always burns food' trolls over burnt pasta
Brooklyn Beckham hits back at 'always burns food' trolls

Brooklyn Beckham has responded to critics who claim he routinely burns his recipes. The 27-year-old chef shared a new cooking clip on Instagram, this time preparing the pasta dish spaghetti all'assassina.

In the video, which shows Beckham making the sauce and then cooking the raw pasta in the pan, he wrote: 'For all the lovely comments about me always burning my food this pasta is supposed to be burnt soooooo.' The eldest Beckham child gave his followers a thumbs up as he tried the finished product.

Viewers defend the dish

While some commenters took issue with the lack of fresh garlic and Beckham's use of tomato sauce from a jar, many said the dish looked tasty. One commenter, Roxana, wrote: 'Those who don't know, spaghetti all'assassina is a typical plate in Puglia region of Italy, and this is a quite good representation of the recipe. So calm down everyone, it's delicious.'

Beckham, who has called himself Peltz Beckham since marrying Nicola Peltz in 2022, previously faced criticism for another pasta dish where he used seawater in the recipe. That video was filmed aboard a yacht in 2025, before he publicly severed ties with his parents Sir David and Victoria Beckham. Commenters were horrified, in part because of the state of UK waterways, although Beckham appeared to be in the Mediterranean rather than the Thames estuary.

Cooking show launch

In 2021, Beckham launched an eight-episode cooking show titled Cookin' With Brooklyn, where he met with chefs including Nobu Matsuhisa, Nancy Silverton, and Roy Choi. He admitted the short-lived show was his then-fiancée Nicola's idea.

At the time, Beckham said he found cooking 'therapeutic and really calming'. He added: 'I always have so much going on in my head, I'm always stressed about something, but cooking, especially doing something like making fresh pasta, making stuff from scratch, is the one thing I've found where I don't think about absolutely anything else.'
