Prince Harry's Verdict on Prince George's Future School at Eton College
Prince Harry's Shocking Verdict on George's School Choice

Prince Harry made his feelings about Eton College clear, as Kensington Palace confirmed that Prince William and Princess Catherine have chosen the prestigious school for their eldest son, Prince George. The young prince, who will soon turn 13, will board at Eton from September, moving up from Lambrook. While Prince William, 43, enjoyed his time at the school, his estranged brother Prince Harry, 41, was not a fan.

Harry's Past Comments on Eton

Harry has hinted at his dislike for Eton multiple times. During a royal tour of a correction centre in Cape Town in 2015, he said: "I didn't enjoy school at all. I would like to have come to a place like this. When I was at school I wanted to be the bad boy." This shocking comment was reported by The Mirror.

In his 2023 memoir Spare, Harry also discussed his struggles at Eton, particularly with sports. He wrote: "Sport, I decided, would be my thing at Eton. Sporty boys were separated into two groups: dry bobs and wet bobs. Dry bobs played cricket, football, rugby, or polo. Wet bobs rowed, sailed, or swam. I was a dry who occasionally got wet. I played every dry sport, though rugby captured my heart. Beautiful game, plus a good excuse to run into stuff very hard. Rugby let me indulge my rage. I simply didn't feel pain the way other boys did, which made me scary on a pitch."
