UK-headquartered EdTech company doris, a school discovery platform for parents, has announced its global expansion following a successful first year. The platform, which operates in the $60bn international school sector, was launched in Southeast Asia in 2025 and is now rolling out territory by territory.
Chief Executive Officer Nik Higgins, who founded doris after the sale of his previous business, The Ambassador Platform, said: 'In a short space of time, we have taken a genuinely powerful idea and turned it into a platform that is both changing lives and challenging an industry where the status quo has dominated for far too long.' The company aims to have 10,000 school profiles live across multiple countries by the end of March 2026, making it the most comprehensive online school discovery platform for the international K-12 market.
doris uses artificial intelligence to provide impartial school recommendations to parents, based on fit rather than marketing spend. For schools, the platform offers a data dashboard with real-time insights into parent search behaviour and competitive positioning. Early adopters include Dulwich College Singapore, German European School Singapore, Stamford American School Hong Kong, and Hangzhou International School.
The global expansion, led by co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Tom Shacham, follows a successful fundraising round and significant team growth, including new appointments in marketing, partnerships, and development. Higgins added: 'Our expansion into every country with an international school or kindergarten is a major milestone. It represents a step that has never before been taken by a technology platform operating in the international K-12 space.'
