A three-year-old girl and her two brothers, aged four and five, urgently need a long-term foster home where they can stay together. The siblings are currently separated in short-term foster care, but Gateshead Council's fostering service is seeking a stable home for all three.
Over 30 Children Awaiting Foster Placements
The trio is among more than 30 children in Gateshead who require foster homes. Despite months of searching, no suitable placement has been found for them within the borough, putting them at risk of being moved away from their school, friends, and familiar surroundings.
Children Described as Loving and Playful
The children are described as loving and playful, enjoying exploring, learning, and being with other children. They need a foster carer who can provide stability, routine, encouragement, warmth, and understanding to help them develop and grow in confidence.
Council Urgently Appeals for More Carers
Helen Fergusson, Director for Children's Services and Lifelong Learning at Gateshead Council, said: "Every child deserves a good start in life, and we know that a stable, loving family home gives them the best possible chance to develop and thrive. We have amazing foster carers in Gateshead who show unwavering commitment to some of the most vulnerable children in our community, changing their lives for the better. Sadly, however, we simply don't have enough carers for the number of children who need them, so we urgently need people to come forward and find out more."
