A new true crime docuseries on Prime Video exposes social media activity found during a murder investigation. Britain's TikTok Murder is now streaming, revealing details that some may not know about.
Retired army veteran Stuart Crocker, 62, was found stabbed to death in his flat. Neighbours initially raised the alarm and police arrived to find that he had been brutally attacked in his own home.
Police hunt for girlfriend
The documentary includes interviews with local residents who explain being introduced to Winter Swan-Miller, Stuart's younger girlfriend who told them she had moved in with him. However, she was nowhere to be seen following the discovery of his body.
Police launched a hunt for her, initially fearing she could be at risk. There were no signs of a break-in at the flat and they discovered Stuart had been stabbed 26 times. Officers also found that his body was "surrounded by notes". These were later proven to be written by Swan-Miller as a trail 'for the pigs'. Many of the notes also contained confessions about what she had done.
One note read: "Take my f****** dog you w****. This is why I've done this haha. How does his death feel haha. You thought I would let you get away with taking me for a f****** mug. Taking my dog, are you real."
Arrest and sentencing
She was later arrested after police found she was using her victim's bank card to withdraw cash in the Aldridge area of the West Midlands. Swan-Miller was eventually found guilty of murder following an 11-week trial in 2024. She was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 23 years.
The court was shown a video that Swan-Miller posted on her TikTok account, believed to be recorded shortly after the death of Stuart Crocker. This video can no longer be found on her account, which is still active and states that she has around 9,000 followers.
In the disturbing footage she speaks directly to camera and said: "I'm going to be taking a break from TikTok for a bit I think because I've been a bad girl. If you want to write to me, I'll happily write back."
She also tells her followers that they should Google her name to find which prison she is in so that they can send her letters. This is before adding: "There's more to the story than just one side. I just hope that it all goes well really."
Further videos uncovered
"At the moment, I feel sick. But I don't feel like I've done a bad thing at all." In the Prime Video series a neighbour claims to recognise the sofa in the video, stating Stuart's body was just a short distance away from where she was sat.
Police revealed that they discovered more videos that were not published online. This included one where Swan-Miller claimed her victim was responsible for the theft of her dog.
As Swan-Miller was sentenced Judge Angela Morris, Recorder of Winchester, described her as "a highly manipulative person who was prepared to do or say anything to get what she wanted. If fame or notoriety was your goal, then by killing… in the appalling manner you did you succeeded in achieving it for all the wrong reasons."
