A 17-year-old boy was robbed of his bicycle on Norman Road, near Broadoak Oasis Primary School in Ashton-under-Lyne, on Saturday, August 1.
Police were called to reports of the incident, which happened at around 3.40pm. Three suspects approached the teenager and stole his bike, according to Greater Manchester Police. One of the offenders was carrying a large machete, according to reports.
Footpath escape
The suspects made off along a footpath connecting Norman Road, Hall Road and Pollitt Avenue. The bicycle has since been found after it was dumped in Cedar Park.
Police have described the incident as isolated and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Offender descriptions
The first offender is described as a white male, 5ft 6in, approximately 19 years old, with long straight hair, a black cap worn backwards, and a light grey tracksuit top and bottoms.
The second offender is described as a white male, aged around 19, with long hair, wearing a black bobble hat with a red stripe, a black top and black pants.
The third offender is described as a black male, approximately 19 years old, with afro-type hair, wearing a purple t-shirt, a black and grey two-tone jacket, and black and grey tracksuit pants.
