A woman was left distraught when her neighbour demanded she and her husband move out immediately. The incident occurred after she moved into a new neighbourhood and did not formally introduce herself to all residents.
Unexpected Confrontation
Sharing the situation on Reddit, the homeowner explained that she had been living in her house for about a year when a neighbour from across the street marched over and knocked on her door. Not knowing who she was, the woman initially decided not to answer.
However, the neighbour began shouting through the door, demanding to know why the new homeowner "won't come to talk to her." The woman then switched on her doorbell camera and greeted the neighbour, explaining she couldn't answer the door at that moment.
Rage and Demands
The neighbour flew into a rage, insisting they had never met and never saw any lights on, expressing concern that the house "sits empty most days." The homeowner was shocked, noting she had never met the woman before and does live in the house every day.
When the homeowner asked which house the neighbour was from, the neighbour yelled about how rude it was that she never introduced herself. The homeowner then asked which property she lived in, to which the neighbour bellowed: "If you don't know who I am, that's your fault and you shouldn't be here, you need to move."

The neighbour stormed off, leaving the homeowner feeling so "shaken up" that she didn't go out for the rest of the day. The next day, the homeowner visited the neighbour to "smooth things over," but the neighbour was only passive aggressive and thanked her for coming over.
