Manchester Evening News readers can secure a free place at Kellogg's Football Camps this summer using a special code, as the popular holiday clubs return for a third year with more than 39,000 free spots on offer.
The camps, which run at clubs including Manchester City, Oldham Athletic, Salford City FC and others across the UK, typically require parents to buy a box of Kellogg's cereal and use the on-pack QR code to sign up via the Kelloggfc.com website. However, a special code - MENS - gives readers access to remaining places.
How to claim a free place
To take advantage of the offer, simply register for a Kellogg's account and use your postcode to view available camp places, then apply the code to get booking details. The camps are led by FA-qualified coaches and give children aged five to 15 the chance to get active, develop their football skills, build confidence and train like their sporting heroes throughout the summer holidays. Most camps run from 9am or 10am to 3pm depending on location.
The camps are held in partnership with the English Football League (EFL), Manchester City FC, Celtic FC and Rangers FC, and are available at 73 clubs across the UK. Dates are available throughout August, with limited clubs offering dates in September 2026. There is a maximum of two claims per household and two camp places per child. The offer does not include travel and other expenses.
Joleon Lescott launches camps
The camps were launched by former England international Joleon Lescott, who surprised children at a London camp at the start of the holidays. Drawing on his own journey from grassroots football to a commanding centre-back for Manchester City and earning 26 caps for England, Lescott coached the children through drills and skills from his days as a professional, while sharing advice and encouragement to help them develop their skills, build confidence and make new friends through the game.
Lescott said: "After such a great summer of sport and ahead of the new season it’s brilliant to see so many of the next generation excited to get out on the pitch themselves. Welcoming them to Team Kellogg's with their own ‘signing ceremony’ was great fun, but the best part was seeing them straight out there enjoying football together."
He added: "Every football journey starts somewhere. Mine began by simply getting out there and playing, so hopefully today has inspired a few more children to put on their boots this summer. Whether they're dreaming of playing at the highest level or just looking to have fun with their mates and learn new skills, that's what Kellogg’s Football Camps are all about."
Affordable holiday support
The launch comes as new Kellogg's research reveals that 74% of parents say major sporting events inspire their children to get involved in sport. The research also found that 30% of parents rely on free activities during the holidays, with holiday camps (25%) and sports clubs (19%) providing vital support.
Dean O’Brien, UK general manager at Kellogg’s, said: "We’re proud to bring Kellogg’s Football Camps back for a third year, helping parents during the school holidays and giving children the chance to stay active. Our goal is to make camps more accessible, especially for families who might otherwise miss out. Working closely with club charities across the country helps us ensure the camps are open to everyone, inclusive and able to deliver real impact."
EFL director of community Debbie Cook added: "Supporting communities is fundamental to the EFL’s purpose. Our clubs are deeply rooted in their towns and cities, serving as trusted local institutions that bring people together and create opportunities far beyond the pitch. Our partnership with Kellogg’s helps us extend that impact even further, once again giving thousands of young people the chance to stay active and grow in confidence. These camps don’t just keep children entertained - they bring communities together, offer vital support to families during the busy school holidays, and showcase the important role clubs play."
